The Serpent's Coil
Can you hold center while it dances?
We’ve been eyeing the astrological “weather” that’s been building for the past 2 years in anticipation of this current eclipse season in particular. There are a number of astrological highlights that have coincided (as we’ve predicted) with the current wave of chaos we’re seeing politically, economically and culturally, and as is being played out in the collective psyche.
It’s a crazy time out there, kids. And it’s gonna get a whole lot crazier. Especially for those who choose (because it is a choice) to buy into the extreme false dichotomies being presented.
We’ve been on our soapbox about the nature of the current astro weather being an energy that is doubling (tripling, quadrupling…) the potential for losing one’s self in the morass of the illusion.
True astrology, being as it is more akin to cosmic code-breaking than you’d ever gather from the degenerate pop astrology that infects the mainstream, is a grand game of pattern recognition where the stars are an encrypted message from the soul of the universe. And the astrologer, like Alan Turing, works to decipher its hidden message. Every planet, every sign, and aspect is a segment of the “grand code” revealing the form that is to emerge in the future, and defining the choice points along the way between fate and freewill. True astrology then is, quite literally, a living, breathing, holographic map of the future.
In my last article I spoke of the imminent collapse of the American psyche, under the incredible pressure of a Universe in perpetual churn, demanding a rebalancing of energies that have become fundamentally unbalanced. This is a forever process, symbolized by the Ouroborus. The only constant, it is said, is change.
And sometimes that change is incredibly potent and swift. We now live in just such a time. And we are quickly approaching a period in which the collective will shift from experiencing a kind of “no sense of solid ground beneath my feet” to that of being especially isolated and detached. A feeling that will pervade even face-to-face proximity with “my people”. That isolating and unsettling sense that “no one gets me”; the odd man out.
What is being shown very clearly in the astrology is that the more labels, constructs, diagnosis and the like that one adopts in a desperate attempt to “belong to someTHING or someONE” is, in reality, just further distancing oneself from that which they crave to be a part.
It’s the identity version of zero-sum economics. And, ironically, the same demographic beating the loudest drum against “late stage capitalism” is the same demographic buying whole-cloth into the identity version of that same demoralising, soul-crushing, race-to-the-bottom scheme.
Again, the astrology here points to all of this clearly. It’s like being handed and reading the script well before the filming ever takes place. Ariel and I live in a remote area of the PNW with no TV and no social media exposure (Substack notwithstanding), and when we do glance at the news feed it simply verifies the acts of the play written well ahead of time.
Some foreshadowing for the next act to come: from April 24th to July 20th, 2025: we will experience a planetary condition the technicalities of which are beyond the scope of this article. That’s the kind of under-the-hood work we explore in our Functional Astrology community.
At any rate, this particular astrological alignment adds to the already volatile mix of energies at play in the collective, creating an additional whipsaw-like, psychological churning to an already chaotic system.
This is a planetary configuration (see above) where all seven classical - visible with the naked eye - planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn) are placed within the confines of the nodal axis. That is, between Rahu (the head) and Ketu (the tail) of the great cosmic serpent. As a bonus, we’ll also have Uranus and Neptune within the confines of the nodal axis along with the traditional seven. Only Pluto remains the odd man out. Which is quite prophetic when we assess this through the lens of the current state of the US economic crisis.
This alignment creates a cosmic “entrapment” - an isolating or a karmic funneling effect - locking all the collective’s fomenting psychosis inside the Serpent of Karma’s coils.
Imagine a carbonated beverage shaken to the point of exploding out of its container and you’ll get the feel for what is coming for the collective’s psyche.
This incredible energetic imbalance will run for the 12 week period between the late evening April 24th, 2025 until July 20th, 2025 with Pluto serving as the lone “relief valve”, along with the Moon during her 2-week-at-a-time sojourn beyond the grasp of the great Serpent.
The condition finally breaks when Mars eventually transits outside of the nodal axis, surpassing Ketu by reaching 25 Leo 25, on July 20th.
All of this is telling. All of this reveals the lines of the script that will be played out in the great collective, Kabuki theater. And all of it serves the purpose of cleansing karma and rebalancing that which is fundamentally out-of-balance.
So… What to Expect?
The current administration’s tariff policy, the resultant trade war and the market’s roller-coaster reaction are all the play now being acted out line-for-line from the script written in the stars three eclipse cycles back. And once we enter the April 24th - July 20th window, that whipsaw will only intensify.
This is not to say that freewill does not exist. It most certainly does, and for every soul who claims it. It is to say, however, that the masses are swayed by the tides more so than their own internal compass. Couple that with victim culture and we have the state in which the collective psyche resides now.
That said, if you’re looking to invest, “when will the market recover” isn’t even the right question to ask. Not until you can answer the question of “are you 100% sovereign?”
But the short answer is, as long as there is “trade”, there will always be a “market”. The question that should be asked - the question Ariel and I are decoding now - is what will the medium of trade be once fiat currency has finally limped into history. Because fiat currency is on its way out. A Pluto return the likes of which the US is currently enduring (along with a host of other telling alignments) IS just that powerful. And the Cosmic Serpent alignment discussed here will continue to create a whipsaw in the markets (and in psyches) the likes of which we have never before seen.
As far as the collective’s psychological health goes, this alignment will create intense feelings of being completely out of sync with others (even within one’s “identity” group), extreme isolation, and that of being a pawn in someone else’s game. That is, the mainstream will feel as if they are merely NPCs acting under the direction of some unknown entity in control of their own lives.
It’s all a mirage, of course. A mirage that has been spelled out by the astrological alignments we’ve discussed over the last 20 or so posts. The resultant picture is crisp and clear: the man behind the screen is pulling the levers, and everyone has the opportunity to see the mirage for what it is. Few, though, will rise to the challenge. Choosing instead the illusion of safety that comes with outsourcing the ultimate responsibility of one’s life.
Everyone is endowed with the power to be the sole sovereign of their own lives. But the nature of the astrological weather we are all living through currently makes that especially tough. Doable, but it’s not going to come about without significant effort. It’s sailing forward with the wind in your face.
The systemic system and infrastructure breakdowns coming down the pike are going to shake the American psyche to its core. Victimhood and blame culture will trap the masses in a psychological vortex that few will ever escape.
